A: Pressing Ctrl+F2 from the SoThin Connection Manager will launch the SoThin Thin Client Settings window. From here you will be able to manage keyboard, mouse, multimedia, printer and fax, as well as regional settings. The availability of these options is determined by the restrictions configured by the administrator.

  • Q: How do I convert my SoThin Thin Client device back to a standard Windows desktop?

A: From the SoThin Connection Manager, press Ctrl+F3. You may be prompted for administrative and SoThin credentials. Once in the Configuration dialog, you can select "Convert Desktop" to turn your desktop back. Any restrictions put in place using SoThin must be undone using the SoThin Configuration Wizard.

  • Q: Can I install SoThin Thin Client and the Thin Client Manager on the same computer?

A: This is not supported. If you have ever had SoThin Thin Client, Secure Desktop or XyZ installed on the computer, you should not install any SoThin Management products, as there may be behavioural discrepancies compared to an installation on a clean device.

  • Q: I created a group in the Thin Client Manager with only numbers, and this group isn't visible in the folder tree.

A: There is a limitation in the Management Console which prevents groups containing only numbers in the title from appearing in the folder tree. To view this group, click on the Groups item, and your group will appear in the right-hand pane. Opening this group will display all related connections as normal.
